Good blog Jan.

I think like you said most of those stats will go out the window once the series starts. Impressive side by side you put together though.

I know some will disagree but I really think the Rangers were just playing out the season the last few weeks. I mean their playoff position was pretty much cemented a month ago. Of course I could be wrong, but I have a feeling you see a different team than the one for the last month or so.

Jan you must of used last years first round blog as a template. You have the Penguins stated in two of your stat sections.

This one looks really even guys. Look forward to watching (or tuning in here and there when Pens arnt playing) this series stress free.

I do agree with you that you can't really put too much stock into the last few games of the year. One of the things that concerns me, however, is that the Rangers haven't really played a real consequential game in awhile. Like you said they've been locked into their playoff position for a month, if not more, so it's hard to muster the urgency, when it's unlikely anyone will catch you and unlikely they catch anyone in front of them.

I hope the proverbial switch exists.

The confidence I have this year as opposed to last is night and day. We're not facing an all world lineup that basically wouldn't and couldn't lose for 2 months like pitt was last year. We're better offensively, healthier and deeper all around. Defensively is obviously where the concern is, but we still have Hank and he can be a difference maker as we've seen first hand for years now

Rangers in 6

Leafs in 6 (wishful thinking)
Pens in 7
Bruins in 6

Hawks in 7
Flames in 6 (been on them all year)
Oilers in 5

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if they came out a bit slow, never mind its going to be the Bell Centre and the Habs fans are crazy in that place(in a good way).

I have never understood this. WTF does it matter that I pointed it out? haha....some people like knowing they've made an error. I've seen bloggers thank readers for pointing stuff out before.

It just makes you sound like a doosh. If you didn't know what he meant that would be one thing.

Anyway, the guy stated earlier he put together the three blogs in a rush for us because he knew he had other obligations.

If you are here to talk hockey, talk hockey.
